W poprzednim
rozdziale mojego blogu opisywałem Cebu i wyrażałem się o tym najstarszym mieście
na Filipinach bardzo pozytywnie. Spędzilem tam miłe chwile i mam tam wielu
przyjaciół. To wspaniali ludzie.
W tym rozdziale
będzie coś zupełnie innego. Filipiny od negatywnej strony. Zamieszczam tutaj krótki
filmik o pewnych zwyczajach i zachowaniach na Filipinach, których inni nie
lubią. Filmik ten nagrany jest przez pewnego Amerykanina, Jimmy, który mieszkał
w Cebu przez 3 lata. Niektóre jego spostrzeżenia są trafne, a niektóre zbyt wybiórcze
i przejaskrawione. No cóż, on zapewne misjonarzem tu nie zostanie. Wydaje mi
się, że ten arogandzki Amerykanin chyba nigdy z Ameryki mentalnie nie wyjechał
i nie wiele zrobił, aby zrozumieć i dostosować się do innej kultury. Ale
zobaczcie to sami.
In the previous post of my blog I wrote about Cebu. I presented
this oldest city of the Philippines on very positive way. I have got
encouraging experience and I have known many friends there. Great people.
This present post will be different. I’d like to present the
Philippines from a negative point of view. Below I put a video about customs
and behavior of some Filipinos that might be strange or discouraging for
others. This short video is made by Jimmy, American, who lived in the
Philippines for 3 years. Some of his observations are correct, however, exaggerated
and shown without an accurate context. If you ask my opinion, I guess, this
proud American has never mentally left his own country. Also, he probably never
tried to understand and adapt to the Philippines and this different culture. Anyway,
just see it for yourself.
