Filipińczycy
lubią i szanują symbole swojego kraju, oraz często śpiewają hymn narodowy. Do
dziś więc w miastach wiszą flagi, i inne dekoracje, które pozostały po Dniu
Niepodległosci w zeszłym tygodniu. A swój hymn śpiewają co dziennie w szkołach,
w kinach, a nawet w czasie Bożonarodzeniowych opłatków i party. Spiewają go z
wielkim szacunkiem, na stojąco, z ręką na sercu.

Kolor niebieski –
symbolizuje pokój, prawdę i sprawiedliwość.
Czerwony –
patriotyzm i odwagę.
Biały – równość i
braterstwo.
Trzy gwiazdy
oznaczają – trzy najważniejsze regiony geograficzne kraju: Luzon, Visayas i
Mindanao.
Słonce na białym tle, z ośmioma promieniami, symbolizuje
osiem prowincji, które zainicjowały walkę niepodległościową przeciw okupantowi
hiszpańskiemu.
The Filipinos like and respect their national symbols and
anthem. Even a few days after the Independence Day the flags and other
decorations are still remain on the streets and important building in the
cities. They sing their national anthem every day in the schools, in the
cinemas before watching movies and even during Christmas parties. They sing it
with “a hand on heart.”

The Flag of the Republic of the Philippines, representing
the country is symbolized by the following:
Royal blue field –
peace, truth, and justice.
Scarlet red field
– patriotism and courage.
White triangle –
equality and brotherhood.
Three stars on the corners of the triangle – the three main
geographical regions of the country namely Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.
The sun at the center of the triangle – has eight rays
representing the eight Philippine provinces that started the revolt against
Spain.
