W czasie mojego
roku sabatyczneg mieszkam w Chicago w domu sercańskim. To bardzo mi na rękę, bo
ten dom znajduje sie niedaleko szkoły teologicznej (CTU = katolicka unia
teologiczna) do której uczęszczam. Mam tu wszystko co mi obecnie potrzeba, i do
tego, aby mieszkać wygodnie. Atmosfera jest przyjazna, a wszyscy w domu są mili
i pomocni, a dzięki temu, czuję się tu jak w domu.
Wszystkich nas we
wspólnocie jest 12tu. 7 Amerykanów, a reszta to obcokrajowcy: 3 Wietnamczyków,
Kolumbijczyk i ja Polak. Najstarszy ma 75 lat, a najmłodszy 28. 5 to kandydaci,
którzy studiują filozofię i teologię. Mimo, że jesteśmy różni i w różnym wieku,
stanowimy zgraną paczkę. Każdy z nas ma wyznaczone obowiązki co do domu i
wspólnoty. Razem modlimy się, sprzątamy i mamy wspólny obiad.
W zeszłym tygodniu
mieliśmy kilka praktycznych sesji nt. budowania wspólnoty. To bardzo pomocne ćwiczenia,
aby zrozumieć sens „bycia jednym” (sint
unum). Zapewne znajdzie to również zastosowanie w praktyce. Mary Gorski,
która zajmuje się publikacją medialną w prowincji amerykańskiej, towarzyszyła
nam w tym procesie wzrastania. Poniżej zamieszczam parę zdjęć, które ona zrobiła,

SCJ Community in Chicago became my home this time. While I
attend classes at CTU (catholic theological union) I stay in and take actively
part in the local SCJ community. This house, named Dehon House, that is the
formation house of the US Province, is located near CTU, and thus, it is very
convenient for me. Indeed it is just a walking distance from the school. Beside
it, the community and the atmosphere are great.
We have daily prayers, dinner and recreation together. Each
of us has responsibilities and housework. It helps us to be united although we
are international community with diverted background and cultures. We are 12
members and only 7 are Americans. 3 are Vietnamese, 1 Columbian and I am
Polish. The oldest is 75 and the youngest 28. 5 are seminarians (candidates)
and 2 are retired. Anyway, together we made a good team.
Last week we had a community building session. It is to help
us “to be one” (sint unum). Mary
Gorski, who is in charge of the media in the US Province arrived to accompany
us and to take memorable pictures. Below I put a few of them and a link to the
