Pasko 2011

Boze Narodzenia w jezyku Cebuano nazywa sie “Pasko.” “Pasko” to radosne swieta.
W ostatnich kilku dniach czesto myslalem o nadchodzacych Swietach.
Pewnie jest On w naszych sercach…?
Odpowiedz otrzymalem, wraz z przyjazdem dzieci z Kasanag. Gdy przyjechaly w zeszla sobote wiekszosc z nich plakala po stracie swego domu, wszystkich rzeczy i zabawek.

Gwiazda tutaj symbolizuje Swieta
One przyniosly nam Jezusa. Wszedzie tam mozna Go spotkac.
Daltego jestem dzisiaj radosny, bo wiem, ze my przyjelismy Go do siebie, w osobach tych dzieci z Kasanag.

Blogoslawionych Swiat Bozego Narodzenia…

Christmas in Cebuano language means “Pasko”. “Pasko” suppose to be happy celebration. Time to meet the Lord who comes to us in “baby Jesus.” God suppose to be born among us once again, especially in our heart. We should be ready to meet him.

Szopka w naszym domu
I was reflecting on “Pasko” in Cagayan de Oro in the context of this great tragedy we faced a few days ago. What can I share to the people during the Shepherd mass? Where is God in Cagayan? Is he present in the Christmas Crib in the churches or houses? Many of them are lost and misplaced. In the liturgy? But it is very sad this year. In the gifts or at parties? But all of them are canceled and gifts instead are donated to those who are in need. Perhaps in the hearts… but they are broken mow.
Where is God in Cagayan now?
I got the answer when Kasanag girls came to our house to look for a refuge. They arrived on Saturday rescued from the flood. They lost everything. Some of them cried because the water took away their personal belongings and toys.

Star made by native people
But I was “touched” when I saw the first thing they brought to me on their arrival. It was a tabernacle from their flooded chapel. The girl who handed it to me said: “we brought you Jesus.” When I opened it I noticed that the Blessed Sacrament isn’t there…
At that moment of their arrival, I got the answer from the Lord: “Jesus was born to us!” They are right. He is here. He just arrived to us brought by the typhoon and flood. He is present in the victims, those who are hungry and thirsty, who lost their families and homes. All those thousands of people who are gathered in the rescue centers is an opportunity to meet him.
I am glad we had a chance to give the shelter to the girls of Kasanag and help a little to those who are in need in Cagayan de Oro. I am honored to meet Jesus in them.

Blessed Christmas to all of us…
