Kapitula Dystryktu / District Assembly



W tych dnich mam okazje uczestniczyc w Kapitule naszego Dystryktu. To coroczne spotkanie wszystkich Sercanow pracujacych na Filipinach. Kapituala w tym roku zorganizowana jest w Cagayan. To w gescie solidarnosci z ofiarami niedawnego tajfunu i powodzi w naszym miescie. Temat solidarnosci i pomocy dla tych co wowczas ucierpieli materialnie i duchowo, jest jednym z wazniejszych tematow tego spotkania.

Na tegoroczne spotkanie przyjechali, jak to zazwyczaj bywalo, delegaci z Wietnamu i Rzymu. Wszystkich uczestnikow jest 26.



W czasie tych kilku dni spedzonych razem, wszyscy maja okazje do podzielenia sie swoim doswiadczeniem i trudnosciami. To okazja do wspolnej refleksji nad wszystkim co wydarzylo sie w zeszlym roku na naszych misjach i co planujemy na bierzacy rok. Celem jest zjednoczenie naszych staran i wzejemna pomoc oraz wspolpraca tak, bysmy dzialali razem, pomimo, ze na roznych obszarach i dzialkach, jednak jako ta sama druzyna.

Podczas trzeciego dnia zorganizowany byl mecz pilkarski pomiedzy “starymi a mlodymi.” Sercanie kontra “Reszta Swiata.” Byla przy tym dobra zabawa. Wygrala niestety “Reszta Swiata.” No coz, mlodosc wziela gore nad doswiadczeniem.

In these days I have a chance to take part in our District Assembly. This is an annual meeting organized for all SCJ working in our District. This year the Assembly is held in Cagayan de Oro. It is a meaningful gesture of solidarity with the victims of the most recent typhoon and flood here. Therefore, one of the aims of this meeting is to find better ways to help those who are affected materially and spiritually by that calamity.

Beside the confreres who work in the Philippines, there are a few delegates from Vietnam and General Administration who came to join us in this Assembly. So there are 26 participants all together.

During these few days, there is an opportunity for sharing of our experiences and ideas. We evaluate last year and planned our work for this year. Although on different fields, we want to work and collaborate together as one team.

In the third day of our gathering there was a football match between the seniors and juniors: SCJ vs Rest of the World. Unfortunately, the younger won, and they were better than the wiser on the pitch.
